2 Antique Silverplate Compotes Tazza Dishes HandChased Engraved Canterbury c1946. 2 Antique Vintage Silverplate Compotes Tazzas Dishes; Lovely Hand Chased Engraving on top (see photos). Signed Canterbury Silver Co. This company was in business in NYC until 1946. These are beautiful; elegant in form; beautiful scalloped edges and ornate bordering around the fluted rim. Both are in excellent condition; no dents, dings or silver wear, only blemishes: 1 of the compotes has some dark spotting in a few areas (see photos). Otherwise super; polished and ready to use! They can even be stacked one on top of the other to make a 2 tiered stand for serving cookies or hors d'oeurves! A beautiful matched pair! Size of each is 4 1/2" high; 7 1/4" across.
