Seller: scrantonattic (648) 98.6%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 201735283038 Scranton Attic ~ 3 available ~ Pair of Antique Cast Iron Art Deco Drawer Pulls * Although there are 3 available, the list price is for 1 pair (2 pulls). If the quantity falls to 2 or 1, this indicates 1 or 2 pairs sold. Rare, antique, drawer pulls salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. The pulls are made of solid, heavy, thick, cast iron, not thin, flimsy wrought steel. Originally, the pulls were brass plated, and although most of the plating remains, the degree of plating varies from pull to pull (see last photo). The pulls also have a lovely, oval, reddish-colored, celluloid plate in the center. Each pull comes with its original setscrew. We removed the pulls from an old dresser built sometime during the 1920's or 30's. The dresser had too much missing veneer to merit salvaging. The pulls have a great, distressed look, which we didn't want to disturb by cleaning them. However, if you prefer your hardware bright and shiny, we could clean and polish each pair for $8 prior to shipping--email us after the auction if you are interested. Two of the celluloid plates have tiny spalls (about 1/8" diameter) near their edges. These are not easy to spot unless you study the pulls, looking for flaws. Otherwise, all are intact and strong with no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or heavy scratches.
