Offering a unique and truly gorgeous hand painted antique stamped MEISSEN signed D Crown for Helena Wolfsohn studio, Dresden, Germany rich gold reticulated cabinet plate in excellent condition!

Helena Wolfsohn Studios often painted Meissen created porcelain whiteware, and this plate is quintessential Dresden with a beautiful center study, French Garden scene, the 18th century figures are lavishly dressed, faces are brilliant and the quality of painting is superb!

This plate measures 9" 1/4" in diameter and marked as shown!

All Wolfsohn Dresden is hand painted, hand gilt, and her rivals, like Richard Klemm, Carl Thieme,  Donath and Franziska Hirsch all competed from their studios to provide quality porcelains for the Western market, particularly the United States.

Ultimately, this lavish Rococo Baroque styling in porcelain was first introduced by the French, from Sevres, and Germany followed.
