Seller: tuckereva1963 (144) 98.6%, Location: Plattsburgh, New York, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 142122281736 Large, antique (very early 20th century - 1920's likely), solid copper lantern. Heavy w/patina as I didn't want to clean it up as some folks like the "full antique" look. If it doesn't sell soon, or if someone requests, I can give it a good cleaning without taking too much of the patina off...but honestly I'd prefer the buyer do that to the extent they want. It's an impressive piece: 18"H to top of loop on top of lantern, 26" to canopy as it is now (of course you can adjust as desired), 8" diameter at top and 10 1/2" diameter at bottom. Weighs 10# 5oz. All original though likely original latch for door is missing and two pieces of glass on the bottom of lantern are cracked (one actually broken and missing a small piece) - original glass. Truly a remarkable architectural gem! Possibly a noted manufacturer, though I can find no markings (a little hard to see thoroughly through the patina though!) Please wait until you receive a Paypal invoice from us to make payment, not Ebay, as EBay's shipping estimates aren't always so accurate and I need your complete shipping address to calculate shipping once packed-up with final weight and box size. (and this is a relatively heavy piece as you can imagine. Glass will of course be removed, wrapped and boxed separately. I ship a lot of fragile items and pack VERY well...so I tend to err on the heavy side of packing as opposed to try to cut corners or save a few bucks with crappy packing. Invoice will be generated and sent to you within 24hrs of sale, and payment please within 24 hrs of receipt of invoice. Insurance is included in the shipping cost on behalf of the buyer. Condition: Heavy patina, one cracked piece of glass - one small broken piece missing, both in bottom of lantern. Appears original latch is gone and a makeshift one in its place.
