CARVED ARGILLITE PIPE BOWL HISTORIC NATIVE AMERICAN / INDIAN Jim Dresslar Coll.. DESCRIPTION: Up for sale...An ORIGINAL CARVED ARGILLITE, NATIVE AMERICAN / INDIAN PIPE BOWL, from the late Jim Dresslar collection, relic hunter and owner of the American Frontier Museum in Bargersville, Indiana. Mr. Dresslar had an outstanding collection of relics dating from the pre-historic period up to and including Wounded Knee. His collection contained a large and comprehensive display of, amongst other items, Trade Silver, Powder Horns, Indian Guns, Kentucky Rifles, Stone artifacts, Accoutrements, Frontier Knives, etc. He died in 2011, creating a void in our collecting community yet providing a vast number of relics to be passed down to present, and future collectors. This historic artifact is carved to represent the head, and face of a man, including his ears, and hair. If mounted to a wooden pipe stem this would display nicely, in anyone's collection. DIMENSIONS: 4.53" Overall Length x 2.32" Tall .989" Outside Diameter at the Stem Opening .540" Inside Diameter of Stem Opening SHIPPING: Shipping/Handling charges will be based on the weight and shipping destination. - Condition: Pipe bowl has been broken off at the neck, and nicely repaired - Has several scratches, rough surface, in some areas and a few minor, old chips, including a .525" x .30" loss at upper stem area, probably lost, during its period of use, and does not effect ability to attach a pipe stem.
