Seller: brndell (11,841) 100%, Location: Ingleside, Illinois, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 122247508740 CAST IRON CEILING MOUNTED LIGHT FIXTURE PORCELAIN SOCKET ART DECO 1920's VINTAGE Up for your consideration is this super retro, Cast Iron Light Fixture. This fixture had been coated with bronze at one time, then it was painted a creamy white. The paint is starting to flake off which just adds to the beauty of the patina. This is a great architectural art piece! Please be sure to see the other items we have listed. FEATURES: Cast Iron Light Fixture. This item is cast iron and has a very Art Deco feel to the design. It is most likely a ceiling mounted fixture, could be mounted on a wall, and has two openings on either side of the fixture for screws. Included is the original porcelain socket, which will need to be re-wired before using, and the beaded pull chain. Some of the finer details that can been seen where the paint has flaked off are the embossed ridge lines that are on the top collar. Just below the collar is a hammered design texture then to the fabulous filigree design. It has three design elements within the filigree, they have a triangular top with a T element inside. Reminds us of a family crest flag, most definitely Art Deco. The outer rim has rectangular notches giving it the architectural look of Embrasures on a castle. There is something imprinted under the outer rim, however we cannot make out what it says. This can be used as an actual light fixture or just as a decorative piece. Let your imagination run wild, make it into a candle holder, plant stand, etc. the possibilities are electrifying! ADD. INFO: INCLUDED: The actual Cast Iron Light Fixture as pictured. I find cool stuff, do some research and list it for what I think it's worth. Sounds pretty simple but sometimes not. So if this is something you really like but its a bit more than you had hoped to pay, then be sure to watch this because I can't send it to the bank, and if it ends without a buyer chances are good that I will drop the price and re-list it until it does sell! Two things for sure - it will get sold sooner rather than later, and that's better for both of us.
