It looks to be either a tin or lead-glazed earthenware, that has then been filled in and refired to work as a holder? It is unusual almost strange for its wonderful contemporary coloring hence the unsureness of what it actually is, however it is a wonderful vase, box, container, planter- use for what you wish- put it on your kitchen counter or your dining table with flowers...I believe it is priced well, will be shipped double-boxed, and you will have many years of enjoyment.
