Inventory Number: TM12880, formerly PFF1004 Origin: South America. Basic Description: This is an authentic indigenous Native American hand-made fine silver (approximately .900 pure) tupu (also topo) clothing pin. This is an original Inca Culture pin with a perforated head. It is entirely original and offered in un-cleaned condition. This heavy pin weighs 106 grams, Troy. The piece was obtained in the 1970's from the Tribal Arts Gallery, Tucson, Arizona. It is quite a wonderful old item and very large in size. It could be cleaned to a brilliant silver luster. This original Inca artifact is guaranteed to be genuine. Approximate Age: 15th century A.D. Please refer to the AKATAKSA "DATING" TERMS. Materials: Fine silver (approximately .900 pure). Approximate Size: 9 3/4 inches long; the head measures 5 inches by 5 inches. Condition: VERY GOOD. The piece has medium to dark tarnish throughout.
