Recorded in sessions lasting over a year from 1963 through 1964,  it took three more years until July 14th,  1967 for "I Walk The Line" to get the RIAA Gold Certification for 500,000 sales.  But it did,  and Johnny scored another one..... one of dozens of gold's and platinum's to come.

This early vintage Gold record was made by my father who was the premier awards contractor for Music Row for nearly 50 years.  He passed this past year and I inherited his work shop and inventory which included hundreds of leftover gold and platinum awards he "over ran"  for the major label companies when they placed orders.  This one is quite simple.  It was before the days of cassettes,  so there is no gold cassette as you will see in many of my gold and platinum awards in my listings for later award albums,  but it's very nice with black velvet background material.   Like most all older vintage awards,  the interior is original but due to aging,  the award was reframed and repacked for shipping.   It comes with a COA  (Certificate of Authenticity)  and if you'd like to have the COA personalized with your or someone else's name,  please send me a message when you purchase it,  and I will include it with your shipment.
