This is a Japanese WAJIMA Lacquer Wooden Tea caddy *Shiogama Maki-e Natsume.
by Shoichiro / 昭一郎 Shoichiro Tazaki (田崎昭一郎 1931~ ) The artisan, Shoichiro Tazaki is a Wajima lacquer artist who has many domestic prize careers. He also has career to make article to presented to the Imperial royal family of Japan. He receieved the Medal of Hornor with Purple Ribbon by the Government of Japan in 1996. *Shiogama maki-e(塩釜蒔絵): render a landscape of evaporate sea water in order to make salt.This is in a Very Good condition with signed wooden box.
