(This is the 3rd lot from this group that I have listed.)
The drawing of pottery is signed and dated 1935.
The drawing of the bows, arrows and the shield is unsigned.
The drawing of the dance skirt, dance wand and feather bundle is labeled TAOS, Dec 1935.
The paper is folded into a plastic Sleeve
Pottery drawing; probably pottery from Taos, San Juan, and/or Santa Clara Pueblos: 9 1/2 inches high x 14 inches wide.
The size of the drawing of Shield and bows is 13 1/4 inches high x 9 inches wide.
The size of the drawing of the Pueblo dance accessories is 9 ¼ inches high x 11 3/8 inches wide
Condition of the drawings: Very Good: There is mild darkening of the paper.
At this time, I have no information about this artist other than that the work appears authentic concerning its date and Taos, New Mexico origin. It was part of a lot of nine drawings all apparently from this same artist. The art was found in a Petaluma, California estate with no other provenance.
