Silk fabric covered & leather lined  interior compartments  with overall cream silk lining. No keys, opens well and is unlocked.  Keys could be easily made.  The Mappin & Webb trademark is  impressed in gilt on the interior leather,  when the case is opened.  Mappin & Webb (M&W)  is an international jewelry company  with headquarters in England.  They traces their origin to a silver workshop  founded in Sheffield in 1775.  They still have retail stores throughout the UK. Mappin & Webb has held Royal Warrants  to British monarchs since 1897.  The company's master craftsman Mark Appleby  is the current Crown Jeweler of the United Kingdom Condition: Very good overall condition, with some interior soiling & fabric shredding due to age & use, original leather handle is intact,  slight scuffing to the leather exterior from it's extended travels.
