This is the 50 Patacas denomination of the 2008 issue of notes for Macao from the Bank of China. This note shows a lotus flower, the Pedro V Theater and the Bank of China building in Macau. This note is Macau 110a in the catalog and it is dated 8.8.2008.

THIS IS NOT FOREIGN EXCHANGE: This is not a FX offer. These are notes for banknote collectors, not vacationers or investors. The notes have never been in circulation, so they command a higher price.

DIMPLES: Modern notes with heavy security strips sometimes develop “dimples” as the notes are counted in high-speed counters at the printers. According to PMG and IBNS, this does not disqualify the note as uncirculated. If you are looking for specimens with mild dimpling, please contact me first. Post-production flaws like counting ticks and band bending are considered flaws in an UNC note. I will specify such notes as A-UNC and note the specific damage.
