This listing is for a GORGEOUS Mount Washington CROWN MILANO Art Glass hobnail cracker jar or biscuit barrel in the "Thistle" pattern.
 
Measures 6" high (to top of lid) and 9 1/4" high (to the top of the handle) and 8" round body. 
 
 The silverplated collar has an embossed decorative rim attached to the body of the cracker jar.  The handle is unusual with an elaborate design and the hinges operate smoothly.  The lid has a large embossed butterfly in high relief and branch finial handle, marked "M. W.  4418" on the interior. There is no damage or repairs on the silverplated collar, handle or lid. 
The body of the cracker jar is made of opaque opal glass which Mt. Washington is known for.  The hobnail body is beautifully decorated with thistle blooms in soft gold-brown colors with gold foliage on a soft beige-gold and cream matte finish background.  The body of the cracker jar has some dark spots not sure exactly what they are and there appears to be finish loss in some areas. Body has is no chips, cracks or repairs.
