This cuff bracelet by Thomas Adams showcases an intricate Haida double eagle. Made of silver (tested) this piece is signed by the artist and made with care. The bracelet is ideal for anyone and is perfect for various occasions or everyday wear.
The Eagle is one of the two main clan crest of the Haida Nation. The Haida are a matrilinear society so that their clan is inherited from their mother. If your mother is an Eagle then you are an eagle. A double eagle means both your parents were Eagles. The Haida are from the Pacific Northwest coast region of the United States and Canada.
I lived in Southeast Alaska during my teen years. A lot of girls wore the smaller bracelets a a sign of wealth. The more they had, the more wealth their families had. The larger cuffs like this one were usually worn by adults with the smaller ones, and sometimes multiple large cuffs on one or both arms.
The bracelet is signed by the artist, but not stamped silver. I did test it, and it came back 925. I took a picture, but the color looks brown even though it was orange on the stone. It is not magnetic. I am not sure if it is machined or hand done. There are some very light scratches on the outside of the bracelet that you have to look very hard for. There are a few deeper ones on the inside. Overall it is in very good condition or better, and would make a lovely gift❣️
