Payment Policy

Paypal is our preferred payment method.

For our Canadian customers - Are you an Air Miles Collector? Let us know your card number at the time of transaction and earn Air Miles on your transaction (1 for $15 prior to shipping/tax). Card number must be given at time of transaction - sorry we cannot process these after the fact. If you are not currently an Air Miles collector, please visit www.airmiles.ca to enroll.

Shipping Policy

We strive to ship all items as soon as possible. Typical orders are shipped using Canada Post Expedited Parcel. However we reserve the option to use Purolator/UPS or Ground Transport to find the best possible cost. Please ask prior to purchasing if you need a specific shipping company. If an item's value is over $50 we normally request signature (this protects you as the buyer and us as the shipper) so please make sure you're shipping to an address where someone is home during the day to accept (if you work, perhaps have it shipped to your business address).  If you are not home, the shipping company will either attempt delivery again or take it to their depot for pickup.  Notifications from the shipping company will be sent to you by email.

We combine items into one package whenever possible. However given the size/weight of some items we sell, combining items may not always be possible. Please contact us to see if we are able to combine shipping on the items you wish to purchase. When a savings is possible by combining items, we are pleased to pass along this savings to you. Often, the savings aren't known until all items have been packed up. In this case, payment in full is required first, and then once items are packed up, we would refund any excess shipping charges to you..

Unfortunately, delays caused by international shipping or customs are out of our control.

Typically, items mailed within Canada, arrive 2-14 business days after mailing (depending of course on your location and if you're in a major centre or not - i.e. items mailed to Ontario will arrive sooner than items mailed to British Columbia, as we are mailing from Nova Scotia)

Typically, items mailed to the USA, arrive 5-21 business days after mailing (depending of course on your location and if you're in a major centre or not - i.e. items mailed to New York or Florida will arrive sooner than items mailed to Texas, California, Alaska or Hawaii, as we are mailing from Nova Scotia)

Typically, items mailed internationally (i.e. outside of Canada/USA), arrive 2-3 weeks after mailing if sent by air post or 6-12 weeks after mailing if sent by surface post. Please inquire prior to purchasing if you're concerned about the length of time to get your item (we can't give a guaranteed date, unless you choose to have your item mailed by Priority Courier or XpressPost - at an additional cost - but based on experience, we can give you a rough estimate on how long it will take - not all methods sent internationally include tracking - if you wish to have tracking added to your package, at an additional cost, we can certainly look into this for you).

Please note that during heavier volume times (i.e. Christmas), that packages may take longer to arrive than normal, based on the # of packages in the postal system. We ask for your patience during these busier times and suggest purchasing early if you need to have your item by a guaranteed time.

We will only ship to your address as shown in Paypal. Please ensure your Paypal shipping address is current prior to placing your bid. If you have moved recently, make sure you update your Paypal & EBay shipping addresses prior to purchasing!

Returns Policy

We are very happy to do business with you.

If you received a damaged or defective item, a wrong item, or suspect that your item has been lost in transit, BEFORE LEAVING US FEEDBACK LESS THEN 5 STARS please don't hesitate to contact us and we`ll do what is possible to correct the problem so you are satisfied.

You may return any item purchased from us within 14 days for a full refund of the purchase price with tax (if any was charged). We do not refund shipping charges or any additional duty or import charge your package may have been subject to.

Buyer must pay return shipping costs.

Returned goods must be shipped "PREPAID" with an RMA number (Return Merchandise Approved) in suitable packaging. No returns will be accepted by sending "collect".  You must contact us first prior to returning any item.

Products returned from outside Canada must be shipped via regular mail due to customs regulations. Shipments via courier services cannot be accepted and will be refused and returned to sender at sender's expense.

Once the item has arrived to our location, it will be inspected and a proper refund will be given. The product must be returned in its original condition and complete (packaging, accessories, manuals ...), in new condition. Items that are opened, damaged and/or not in resalable condition may not be eligible for a refund or exchange. It will be returned to the customer's expense.

Terms of sales

All orders shipped to Canadian addresses will be charged HST or GST, depending on the province's tax rate.

We charge HST to all provinces that collect HST. For other provinces, we charge GST only.

There is no sales tax on orders shipped outside of Canada.

For our US and International customers, please note that your order may also be subject to custom duties, brokerage or import charges.  These are your responsibility as a buyer.  If you are not in Canada, please check with your customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding.

We do not mark items as gifts or undervalue items on government forms.

Customs forms will reflect the true nature of the goods purchased and at the value sold.

Unless otherwise stated in our listing, all our items are new.

Being new, many of our items come with a manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty varies depending on the item and will be listed in our description. Should you have a problem with an item, we will be pleased to assist you in the warranty process.

LumberMart TIMBER Mart has been in business sine 1984, with 2 retail locations in Nova Scotia.  All of our online sales are shipped from our warehouse in Dartmouth, NS.  We are also eBay Canada's 2015 winner for "Exporter of the Year" for the Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
