U.S. POSTAL STATIONERY - MINT POSTAL CARDS

Scott #CVUX4 (Scott doesn't really have a number for this card...)     UPSS #PB3b2

19c Eagle & STAR "POSTAL BUDDY" card, black on white.  Plus 2 sheets of CVUX3.  An unusual and important lot which requires a long explanation!

There is no "Official" FDOI for the last Postal Buddy Issue.  It is indicated in the UPSS Postal Card Catalog that the cards were loaded sometime in August into the machines...but being "loaded" doesn't necessarily mean being "sold"  It all depends on the TRAFFIC.

SO, the various machines will each have a slightly different "First Day of Sale".

Personally, I have never seen a date on a card earlier than September 3, 1993.  And that's for a MINT card.  I've never seen a used card, period...of any date.

On September 7, Darrell Yeisley bought 3 sheets of the 19c PB Card.  Receipt included with lot.  Machine located at 20066.

The first sheet spat out by the machine was a PB3, backside B.
The second sheet spat out by the machine was also a PB3, backside B.
The third sheet spat out by the machine was a PB4, backside C.

That was the point at which the "stack of sheets" in the machine transitioned from Backside B to Backside C, meaning that was the first PB4 sold IN THAT MACHINE.  AS I mentioned before, I've seen earlier dates.

From the stock of Darrell Yeisley,  He had this one priced at $720.00, and marked it "Change from old back to new back on this purchase"..  I think he was a bit on the high side; I'm starting it off much lower.

Mint, and in near-excellent condition.  Yeisley used page protectors which were designed for 8 1/2 x 11 pages, but these Postal Buddy Cards are a tad longer than 11".  Some very minor creases in one corner.

OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS, please don't ask me to misrepresent the value of your order so you can avoid import fees or the V.A.T..

ALL SMALL, "FLAT" SHIPMENTS -   stamps, Cinderella Items, Postal Stationery, Postal History and First Dav Covers - will be shipped in a Calumet hard cardboard mailer.  (See the scan at the right.)  This mailer offers much greater protection than bubble wrap, and is only a little heavier and more costly to ship.

Larger items will be shipped in corrugated mailers.

If you buy several lots, the shipping charges will be reduced.  See the WHITE PRINT above for details.

U.S. SHIPPING CHARGES for this item are $4.00 for a USPS First Class Package.  Insurance is FREE.

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING CHARGES  for this item are roughly:
$11.00 for an International First Class Package to Canada
$12.00
for an International First Class Package to Mexico
$14.00 for an International First Class Package to the rest of the world.

A FINAL WORD - ABOUT MY SCANS:      What you get will be BETTER than what you see!  Computer scans often show darker or lighter areas which aren't on the actual item, and the larger the object to be scanned, the more areas will be affected.  Plus, I scan using a "cover sheet" to hold the item in place, and the plastic cover can creates glare.  And, I often use shortcuts because I just don't have the time to scan every item I sell; I sometimes have to recycle an old scan to illustrate a new item.

ALWAYS GO WITH THE DESCRIPTION!  Your item may look a LITTLE different from the scan, but it will match the description 100%.....and it will ALWAYS be a top-quality item.  My feedback on EBAY speaks for itself.
