She sits on flexed knees cradling a small child on her lap, one hand gently placed under the baby's head. There are traces of painted decoration (tattoo?) under her lower lip The male sits upright in an authoritative position with elbows out, hands on his knees and flexed legs. Despite the cache-sexe, his diminutive penis has been carefully modeled. A vent-hole at each ear insured the safe firing of these museum-quality terracotta figures The female is 9.75" (24.7 cm) tall, 7.75" (19.6 cm) wide, and 6.25" (15.8 cm) front-to-back; the male measures 10.25" (26 cm) tall, 8" (20.3 cm) wide, and 5.75" (14.6 cm) front-to-back.Several toes slightly abraded in antiquity; without repair or restoration, in excellent overall condition.
