Customer service is very important to me. I accept returns for 30 days. However, I only pay return shipping when there is a problem with the item - I am a small seller and only have just returned to selling. I cannot afford to pay return shipping because someone has changed their mind about a product, or found a better price after the fact. With me, part of the reason you are paying a mid-range rate is for the assurance of a quality product, quality service and hopefully quality shipping if everything goes as planned. If you are not sure about a sale, I am not the seller for you. I will consider expanding this in the future.
However, if something does go wrong, I need to know about it immediately. I cannot fix what I do not know about.
Often returns are handled with refunds or exchanges for another item. Many of my Listings are "Rescue Items" that I have hunted for and looked over carefully, some collections, I've sought over long periods of time. These items are looking for their "Forever Homes" (Forgive the Sentimentalism Guys - you'll understand if you've been married, or not!) The Point is: Rarely will there be "Another one just like it in the back" for me to pull out and ship. So exchanges are a matter of concession and absolute fairness. My inventory is considerable, always changing and I have resources to find things not yet found.
