Religious 2 148 - ORIGINAL RARE ANTIQUE 1800s. WOODEN CROSS BREAD PROSPHORA STAMP!!!

Wonderful Wooden Cross Bread Prosphora Stamp, dated 1800 s.

These stamps are used for bread intended for consecration and communion within the various ancient Christian traditions.  Exquisite Orthodox cross design. Crucifix hand engraved on the face side , with stylized Jesus Christ upon the cross .  Great hand-etched designs . An interesting and beautiful display piece... stands on its own.The inscription of the seal is ИC XC N И KA , which stands for "Jesus Christ, Victor " Very nice old wood. There are some nicks and scuffs of time which is normal for an item more than 150 years old. Small fragment of the base and seal is missing in time but the Prosphora is stable. As found condition. Very RARE item!!!

Seal Diam: 48mm;     Weight: 42g;
