ROYAL DOULTON Robert Allen Studio Desert Scene Vase by Harry Allen c.1905 Signed

This great hand painted piece is Bone China and artist signed “H. Allen”.  Harry Allen was one of the most admired Doulton Burslem/RA Studio artists of his era.  The son of Robert Allen, Doulton’s senior Artist, Harry began his artistic training at the Burslem Studio in 1900 when he was 14.   

Pieces from RA Studio were exclusive and never produced in large quantities with many being one-of-a-kind items never to be repeated. RA Studio artists were allocated RA numbers for their hand-painted wares. 

It is marked with the  ROYAL DOULTON factory stamp used between 1902-1922, and n umbered 'RA5951' which indicates it was designed in 1905.  It measures approx. 4¼” tall x 3½” wide.

 The piece is in excellent condition with minimal age/handling related wear and little to no crazing. There are a couple tiny nicks around the bottom foot edge - one appears to have been painted over at factory - others probably from being moved around over the past 100+ years.

At the buyers request, lessor valued items can be shipped using a cheaper method of First Class International.  When using this method, we cannot be responsible for losses, damages, non-deliveries or delays by customs or your postal system as First Class International packages cannot be tracked nor insured.
