Seller: ranverron ✉️ (68) 100%, Location: Calgary, Alberta, CA, Ships to: CA, US, Item: 196356128113 Vtg. IRISH LINEN DOUBLE DAMASK TABLECLOTH White on White Shamrock, and Napkin . This large white tablecloth and the single matching napkin were brought from Ireland in the late 1940's. They are made of double damask, meaning they were woven from pure flax in a way that allowed the intricate shamrock pattern to be visible even though only white yarns were used. The tablecloth measures 221 cm. (87 in.) x 176 cm. (69 in.) and is in very good, gently used condition. The linen napkin measures 54.6 cm. (21-1/2 in.) x 54 cm. (21-1/4 in.) and has never been used. There is a small split on one edge of the tablecloth, clearly shown with a green arrow (and close-up) in the photos. I could not see any stains or any age-related yellowing. Smoke-free, pet-free home.
