She is veiled and holding a cornucopia - a horn shaped container teeming with flowers, fruits, nuts, or other symbols of wealth and nourishment. As a tool of identification, the cornucopia is a very ambiguous element within Gandharan art because it is the chief attribute for many beneficent goddesses from other regions. She could be the goddess Hariti, yet she is often depicted with her husband and when without him, she is surrounded by her numerous children. Greeks identified her with goddess Tyche. Back of the relief unworked. Period: 2nd - 4th cent. AD This item is accompanied with an illustrated Certificate of Authenticity.
