With The Supplement To The Second Edition. The Whole Forming A Standard Encyclopedia Of Erin’s Poetry And Song; And A Biographical Portrait Gallery Of Her Poets. The book is Illustrated With Over 100 Choice Engravings. Considering age, the book is in good overall condition, with the undone spine that can be glued or otherwise repaired. The outside of the spine was taped with a black cloth many years ago. The spine reads The Poetry And Song of Ireland. The front cover has an embossed scene including a woman with a harp and another woman and a man in another scene. The words “Rich and Rare Were The Gems She Wore” is also embossed on the cover.
