Item:2919546489610 0 1 105 603 ucl 5 1 707 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-GB JA X-NONE Three large good quality heavy duty wrought iron keys ranging from about 3.5 to 6.5 inches (16cm) long likely dating back to the 17th or early 18th century. The keys fitted latch-type locks that were often used on chests – sometimes called Nuremberg chests – though also some door locks used the same mechanism/type of keys. All have typically shaped cuts in the bits to fit wards in good quality locks – having quite complex cuts. Although this style of lock is usually German, the style of the bows of the two bigger keys suggest perhaps French; the larger key has some damage to the stem but otherwise condition is OK. The smaller key is perhaps the nicest, having a quatrefoil stem and being very well made and in excellent condition. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Buyer pays shipping, £4.50 UK (signed for), £11.00 to continental Europe and £13.50 to the rest of the world. If you are interested in locks, keys or padlocks, please check out my other auctions.
