As imaged in the accompanying photos, this original cast of resin material is in 5 perfectly fitted pieces. Only one side, the side viewed, could be duplicated at the time of this casting which occurred in the late 1970's. As demonstrated in photos, when assembled, this measures 29 5/16" long at the sides and 23 1/2" across the top.As with all such castings, only one side of this resin cast will demonstrate the original work's depth of finely detailed hand carving. The reverse side is simply a flat, textured, yellowish resin.This was the first casting. All subsequent castings exist only in place at the Samye-Ling Kagu lineage Buddhist Temple and School of Tibetan Medicene at Eskdalemuir, Scotland. All 5 pieces when assembled weigh a total of 7 lbs 14.3 oz.
