Vintage, P.F. CORBIN, circa 1910-1930 #770 W mortise lock with key.
FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a face plate length of 5 1/2" and a width of 15/16" and thickness of 1/8". Faces are brass and show usual scratches and file markings associated with 100 year old locks. We do not polish them as most people prfer the original worn patina look.
BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 1/2".
BOX: The box measures 3 1/4" from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the box. The box measures 3 5/8" top to bottom.
DROP: The drop (the distance from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion at the top of the key slot) is 2 1/8".
KNOB POST: The lock utilizes a standard 5/16" knob post.
