This antique Markel Art Deco 5 light slip shade chandelier fixture is a stunning piece of history. Made in the 1930s, this large chandelier is made of cast iron and glass, and features a beautiful copper color that complements its Art Deco style.
With five lights and slip shades, this chandelier provides ample light while also adding a touch of elegance to any room. The Markel name is synonymous with quality, and this antique original is a testament to their craftsmanship. Perfect for anyone looking for a statement piece for their home, this chandelier is sure to impress.
The fixture is in working condition, that bing the 5 lights on the exterior of fixture. There is a 6th light socket in the middle that is not working and may have been disconnected. As the wiring is original, I would recommend having it rewired. There is a rotary switch on the side if you wish to turn the fixture on and off that way.
The fixture with shades is approx. 21 inches wide, the body is 19 inches long, the chain and canopy add another 15 inches.
The cast iron fixture is in very good condition. The frosted shades are in good condition overall, a few small fleabites or flaws here and there. Please keep in mind that this is an antique and not absolutely perfect. Light bulbs are not included. See pictures for full description. All items sold 'as is'.
