Seller: vintagecollectibles4fun (278) 100%, Location: McDonough, Georgia, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 252660365583 I personally brought the piece from a flea market somewhere in Mexico and it is in reference of the Aztec dog: Xoloitzcuintli THE WORD XOLOITZCUINTLI IS DERIVED FROM THE NAME OF THE AZTEC GOD XOLOTL AND THE AZTEC WORD FOR DOG, ITZCUINTLI Xolo for short, is a hairless dog native of the heart of Mexico! In this piece it's holding a dead goose or the like, and you can clearly see that the dog is also guarding its territory! Adorned it so richly with Aztec motifs! A very unique piece made of bronze some decades ago... The piece is very solid so it will have to be well mounted with the aid of the 3 generous orifices that will support the piece secure. Material: Bronze
