Vintage Ludwig Downbeat 14 x 14 inch floor tom.

Super popular and harder to find floor tom from the earlier 1960s.

Keystone badge. Low serial numbers -- 80229 placing this drum in the earlier 1960s range. Chicago, USA production -- the good stuff

Finished in original red sparkle.

Eight lugs per side.

Very desirable red pad original muffler assembly with baseball bat control arm.

Well cared for drum that has been case kept in climate-controlled environment.

The drum is in excellent original condition. Red sparkle wrap is tight, no seam lift, no bubbling. Even and rich sparkle color, no cracking or checking in the wrap finish. No color fade. No added holes in the shell. Factory white shell interior. Solid bearing edges and reinforcement rings.

All hardware items in excellent condition. Super clean chrome finish. No missing or broken parts. Hoops, lugs and leg mounts are all excellent. Very light surface wear on some areas of the legs. Original rubber feet on all, legs. The muffler assembly works as designed with no issues.

Evans clear batter and resonate heads. Both heads in excellent condition.

The drum tunes up easily, holds its tune and delivers that warm, woody tone you expect from a high-quality drum from this era. No disappointments!
