Seller: redefineantiques (894) 99.7%, Location: Springfield, Missouri, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 252649284915 For your consideration is this exquisite pair of French Beaded Crystal Sconces. This is an early pair of sconces, probably made pre-1910. They are completely embellished with wonderful old crystals and beadwork. The frame, as shown, is a wire frame that was common in French lighting at that time. Each sconce has two lights, candelabra base bulbs, up to 40 watts. They wiring has been redone and Fench Sockets replaced with American at some point. They are working and I can light them up to show you upon request. The last photo, shows the back of one of the sconces, as with all European lighting, these do not have a backplate. They can be purchased at Lowes and painted to match your wall. It would not really show due to the busyness of the sconces. Please look closely, this is a spectacular pair of sconces and we will be happy to answer any questions or send more photos. The sconces measure: 19" tall by 11" wide and project from the wall 5". Condition: This pair of sconces is over 100 years old. They do have some crystals that have been replaced, but matched pretty well. One of the sconces is missing the interior beads that come done from the back, that hold the back to the front. The crystals and bead work are attached with thin wire. The broken wires have been replaced with similar wire. See photos and please ask questions, they are fabulous sconces, but early and not perfect. They are so full of bead chain and prisms though, most of the differences do not show.
