Dressed in a jaunty green hooded jacket and accessorized with matching red and white striped scarf and toque.

Production for this Bunnykins began in 1989. I think he was a wonderful addition to the numerous professions of the Bunnykins family. Without seeing the "Evening Press" written on his bag (i.e., turn the figurine), he could look like a present-day college student...or hipster...

Bunnykins figurines were inspired by Royal Doulton’s famous nursery ware, designed in the 1930s by Barbara Vernon, an English nun. Since 1972, more than 500 figurines have been issued in the Bunnykins DB series.

They are all made in England, and each character name is marked, along with Royal Doulton and the copyright dates.

The Bunnykins figurine line is famous for the large number of professions, historical and literary figures, and traditional costumes interpreted as rabbits.

The Paper Boy Bunnykins was issued in 1989 and discontinued in 1993.

It was designed by Graham Tongue. DB 77 is the issue number.

Latest retail catalogue shows a value of $125.00.

Fully marked, dated and numbered in brown on the bottom.

Figurine measures approximately: 4.25" tall, and 1.75" in the base diameter.

This piece is in mint, like new vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Beautiful colors, gloss glaze and design. Please see photos as they are part of my description.
