. The dish has hand painted flowers on them and has gold decoration on
them as well. /Kysibl or German name Giesshübel/, today is the territory of the Czech Republic The
founder of porcelain Giesshübel (Czech Kysibl since 1949 used the newly
created title Stružná) was a Christian nun from Erfurt. The experienced
businessman from Thuringia had rented for three porcelain factories, in
Volkstedt, Ilmenau and Klášterec. In 1802 from Earl J. J. Stibara
Kysibelská leased estate, including the building of the former stables
near the local castle. In January of the following year he asked the
provincial Government for permission to build a stoneware factory here
and attached to his application and samples of their previous work
(probably were products from his factories in Klášterec). The
application was considered favorably Nonne in the same year and moved
into Kysibl in his 72 years started a new business. Although Nonne later
bought a factory building and land from the Earl Stibara, a site was
rich in the necessary raw materials, the factory prospered too. Unlike
Germany was Austria-Hungary porcelain industry not supported by the
state and perhaps also because in 1810 it sold the new owner of the
estate A. J. Hladik. In addition to enabling earthenware produced here
too rough porcelain - both commodities they differed only glaze and
firing sharpness. Until 1814 the company operated under the name "Nonne
and Rösch". Hladik had no interest in the operation of the factory, so
he rented it for a few years. Tenants were
Knaute Benedict and Joseph Schmellowský, who took over the company in
1816. The company "Benedict Krau und Compagnie" has improved the quality
of the Shard and paintings and expanded production. Josef Schmellowský
died in 1828 and then led Knaute own plant until 1835. At that time,
gained a partner Franz Lehnert, who worked at the factory since 1825 as
head of operations. Thanks to his experience, product quality has
improved so much that Knauteho factory has obtained a municipal license
for the production of porcelain. 1840 Knaute resigned and tenant
remained only Lehnert. Of his work, the factory has expanded, and in
1844 obtained permission to copperplate and lithography. Then there were
more than fifty employees and luxurious, richly decorated porcelain was
exported mainly to Russia, Turkey and Poland. New
factory owner became William Knight of Neuberg, who, along with the
estate acquired by marriage to the daughter of HLADÍKOVÁ in 1864. He
took the opportunity when Lehnert expired lease agreement, had it not
extended. Lehnert had left the company and himself the same year opened a
porcelain factory in red deer Lubenec. William of Neuberg received
provincial permits in February 1847, when the factory was already well
developed and employed nearly 80 people. In the mid-19th century
porcelain Kysibelská offering everything from ordinary tableware, over
the table and coffee service by English and French designs, decorative
nástolce, fruit baskets, spa cups, figurines and toys to luxury vases
and delicate sets with plastic congen rich painting and gilding. At the
end of the 19th century consisted of hot zkoží accessible to all
sections of the population the bulk of production. In
1902 the factory was bought by Jan Neuberk Schuldes, who was its owner
until it was nationalized in 1945. In 1958 the porcelain factory was
incorporated into the departmental enterprise Carlsbad porcelain. The
privatization of joint stock companies fell Epiag-DAFA. 1997, the
production was stopped and the equipment and unfinished products were
sold. The buildings were partially demolished by 2009, to a lesser
extent rebuilt. the porcelain bombe casket with cobalt blue and gilt border, features a hand painted pastoral scene after Francois Boucher, with a gentleman charming a young beauty, and dog and sheep attending. The Rococo box is dressed with a brass hinge and the sides are decorated with floral motifs; when opened, the inside box is embellished with hand-painted floral decor. The Napoleon III jewelry box is in excellent condition with rich colors on a royal blue background. François Boucher (1703-1770), was a French painter, draftsman and etcher, who worked in the Rococo style. Boucher is known for his idyllic and voluptuous paintings on classical themes, decorative allegories, and pastoral scenes. He was perhaps the most celebrated painter and decorative artist of the 18th century. I tried to clean the accumulated patina with dishwashing degreaser, but it was not completely successful, obviously the stains accumulated with age cannot be cleaned. I am selling it as it is. I can't be 100% sure about the year of production but judging by the patina and the wear in my opinion is 19th century, the box is not marked, in my opinion Old Paris Porcelain condition - antique - see picture sold as it is!!! size aprox.-8.66 tall x 6.29 x 4 inches tall approx. weight -2.2 lbs 1 inch=2.54cm Please be sure to view all photos carefully as they are included as part of the item description! recently purchased from a private collection please keep in mind that you are buying an item over 100 years old and there will be traces of a past life!!!! Please be sure to view all photos carefully as they are included as part of the item description! I sell antique and vintage collectible stuff - unique items that have history, and may show signs of this - it's part of their charm. I try to describe any obvious faults as truthfully as I can. However, as most of my items are 100 years old, they will often bear the traces of a previous life. Please think carefully about bidding if you are looking for a pristine item that is as new. My passion is for beautiful antique stuff and quirky vintage items with a gently faded grandeur, so do consider this before deciding to bid.
