WW1 Liberty Train 60 boxcar set, TT scale printed reefer sides

WW1 Liberty Train 60-car set, sixty pair of sides for sixty 40-foot boxcars. 120 car sides printed full color on cardstock for 60 wood-era 40-foot long boxcars. If you don't want to build boxcars from scratch or use them with a kit you already have, you could glue them to the sides of an existing boxcar that you have or buy on ebay.

James Montgomery Flagg was born in New York in 1877 and became a prolific artist in drawings, oil painting and posters. Well established by WW1, he adapted a famous British "I Want You" recruiting poster by posing as Uncle Sam in a mirror and painting his own image for the American version of the poster. It was so popular, it was seen thru WW1, WW2 and long after. Charles Livingston Bull was a famous wildlife artist, often sketching and painting animals in the Bronx Zoo and illustrated the first edition of Jack London's "Call Of The Wild." He also made several posters for Barnum & Bailey Circus. Howard Chandler Christy made many illustrations for magazines, including Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders, but was best known for his idealized American women in advertising dubbed "Christy Girls" from the turn of the century on. Charles Dana Gibson studied art in France, Spain and Italy before returning to New York and by 1904 was the highest paid illustrator at $100,000 over 4 years from Collier's Magazine. Like Christy, he was best known for his illustrations dubbed "Gibson Girls." During WW1 he not only became a top illustrator for the war effort, he recruited other prominent artists for it and after the war became owner and editor of Life Magazine. Sadly, he died (1944) before seeing the famous photograph that "Life" ran at the end of WW2 of a sailor kissing a nurse on VE Day.
