The SWEET GENOVESE BASIL, ‘Ocimum basilicum’, is a sweet basil that is particularly good for cooking and is also excellent for fresh use on salads or dressings. There is nothing like the smell of basil, it is the smell of summer.

There is no more useful herb. The SWEET GENOVESE BASIL has just that, a sweeter taste than other basils.

It is a good all “around basil” and it has a great flavor profile.

Sweet Genovese Basil can be used in most Italian foods such as soups and pasta dishes and sauces.

Our basil is grown without the use of chemicals and pesticides and nothing is added before or after drying.

This spice is grown, dried and packaged and from the current growing season.  THIS BASIL IS IN THE DRIED LEAF FORM CHOPPED TO SPICE SHAKER SIZE.

I also have basil available that I have ground to a consistency of powder which is great for dishes that you want great basil flavor without the obvious presence of leafly bits.
