18th Century corset stays cotton Outlander Colonial Rev War Reenactment Costume. Reproduction 18th century stays/jumps Machine sewn but will give you the right shape under your gown. Suitable for most of the 1700s, Outlander, Colonial, Revolutionary War, Pirates of the Caribbean, even under a Marie Antoinette style gown. 18th century stays encourage an upright, shoulders back posture, and give a conical shape to the torso. They’re a necessity for the more authentic 18th century clothing patterns which have narrow backs. These stays are sturdily made from brown cotton twill, 2 part grommets, and 3/8” boning. They lace both front and back for versatility and so you can lace yourself into them as well as get yourself out. The corset with no gaps measures: bust 30” high waist 25” low waist 26” hips: free. Between the squish factor and leaving gaps in the lacing, can comfortably fit up to 6” larger. (Do you see how it's coping admirably with my measurements of 37/35/38 with barely a bulge?) Gently used.
