For the 1934 model year, the
Pontiac Series 603 Cabriolet positioned itself very well
as a mid-market competitor with features typically
reserved for the GM's upscale Cadillac's, LaSalles and
Buick's. With a roomier interior and Pontiac's signature
Native American inspired design, they were a formidable
market competitor with respectable production/sales.
Mechanical improvements included knee-action
suspension, improved induction system & high compression
Pontiac "8" cylinder head resulting in increased
horsepower (85HP-19mpg). Pontiac 603 Fun Fact:
"Official Pace Car 1934 Indianapolis 500".
