Hi, and welcome! Thanks for stopping by. You are looking at a non-original 8x10 photograph printed on FujiFilm Crystal Archive emulsion paper depicting the grave of 30 year old Private Thomas Enright, a Pennsylvanian who served with the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was one of the first, if not the first, U.S. Army Soldier killed in World War I. Enright's company had taken over a stretch of trenches in the Artois Sector and on November 3, 1917, the Germans launched an attack on his trench line. Enright was killed, along with two others. Enright was a veteran cavalryman who had served in the Philippine War, the Boxer Rebellion, Vera Cruz and Pershing's Pancho Villa Expedition. His grave is scene here a few hundred meters behind the lines from where he was killed. His family later had his remains returned to the United States and laid to rest there.

These are actual photographs, not photo printer copies, from an archival collection that includes some 40,000 images that span military history from World War I through the War on Terror. We use only the highest quality images and photographic paper for our prints, and we are proud to have supported a diverse range of historical projects, from books to museum displays, magazine articles and multi-media presentations. Our photos are printed on thick stock, archival quality paper by a professional photography studio nationally known for its work. We take great pride in the quality and excellence of each image.

On a personal note, it has been an amazing process running this archival service these fourteen years. We have met great people from all over the world whose interest and knowledge in history transcends cultural, language and national divides. Our customers have shared incredible stories of their hometowns at war, relatives who served and artifacts recovered from distant battlefields the world over. You are the reason we are here, and Jenn, Ed, Renee & I would like to thank all of you for your interest, knowledge and support. In the years to come, we look forward to getting to know you all better as we continue to find unusual and historic images to add to our collection.

We gladly combine shipping, and we'll do our best to fulfill any requests. Please feel free to ask any questions, and happy bidding!
