This impressive bolo was hand made by a Native American silversmith of sterling silver and magnificent turqoise gemstones. The gemstones are a brilliant blue color with webbed black matrix and flecks of pyrite.  The turquoise has a tight grain, high polish, and seems to be of a very high quality, possibly Kingman or Morenci turquoise. (you decide - I have no history on this piece). The intense blue color really is eye catching.  The largest gemstone is approx. 1 1/2" x 7/8". The smaller gem is approx 3/4" x 1/2".  They are very smooth to the touch. The silver work in the bolo is simple but well done with a beaded edge, a bit of wire work and five stamped rain beads. It has a braided leather cord and very nice sterling silver fluted bead tips.    It is hallmarked sterling and signed with what appears to be a fish symbol with the letter A inside, or AL and an oval. (maker unknown to me).  The bolo tie is in excellent pre-owned condition with no damage noted, just tarnish.   Approximate measurements:  Bolo Slide:   1 3/4" x 1 3/4"    Tips: 2"     Overall length: 42"    Total weight in grams: 49                                 General Notes:
