With a brass slide but it is not a slide rule, simple inches and eighths on the slide, presumably for depths of holes, widths of rebates etc. Made by John Rabone & SON [ not sons ], second son joined in 1870. Not stamped in the normal eye shaped logo but with the earlier straight line stamp. Arched centre hinge and other brass parts show little or no wear or stiffness. 8 square, line, plus 1/4, 1/2", 3/4" and 1 " scales . Very clean, some staining, not bent or twisted, lies dead flat but slide leg is slightly bowed. Appears to have an old repair to one leg, barely noticeable, both pins present.
