ITEM DESCRIPTION
Up for your consideration is a fine pair of pigeon blood red cloisonne vases featuring a central floral design. They are actually a "near pair" as the designs are somewhat different and complementary. The ground is in Ginbari (foiled design of bamboo). The vases are unsigned, but very well made & heavy. My guess is that it was made by Yamamoto. The vase likely dates to the late Showa period, c. 1950s. The vases measures 7.5" tall, and are in excellent condition, free of chips, dings, or scratches.
This is one of about 20 pieces of cloisonne I am listing, many examples include signed pieces from Ando, Sato, and Yamamoto.
