The door is made out of solid Douglas fir. The door is painted on one side, and stained on the other side. Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality . Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. The door has an impressive arrangement of 15 , true-divided windows with old, wavy glass. 1 window is missing glass. We could add the missing glass--message us for a quote Hardware : The door does not come equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Condition : The door is strong, s turdy and in great structural condition. It has the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. However, there are no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp. The small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding. A ll of the glass is intact and in great condition with only subtle scratches. Modification : Do you want to replace the glass with wooden panels, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs.
