5 antique English Art Nouveau tiles 2 T & R Boote, 3 unknown mfg, all tubelined. This is a mixed group of 5 ceramic tiles from the 1900s: 3 of one pattern and 2 of another, all tube-lined Art Nouveau patterns and all approximately 6" square. Two of the tiles are clearly marked T.R. Boote, England, and have a blue/green background with three pink flowers above leaves on a white background against the blue/green. The others have a cream white background with a basket of deep pink roses with green leaves in a sort of torch design with a swag of more pink flowers below. All have crisp raised tube lined borders for their designs and have excellent definition. The colors of the two designs are not identical but blend well together, and could be used as a short border if desired, or used separately. These are over 100 years old and do have some condition issues: each of the T.R. Boote tiles has 2 chipped corners, and they have crazing in the glaze, all shown in the closeup photos. These are unused, as you can see by the backs. The other three tiles are in better condition, also unused and also with crazing; one has a chip along the bottom. These five are a real find for Art Nouveau styles and display beautifully. These will weigh over 5 lbs with padding protection and do not qualify for international shipment. I will ship them in by USPS priority flat rate, and I will pay the shipping cost.
