Most of the beads in the mix are Ancient Islamic period blue glass beads, some clear and some with various degrees of patina on them. There are some rare oval ancient glass paste blue oval beads in this mix. One of the beads is a rare twisted Nueva Cadiz bead, there is also a "baby moon" opalescent bead, a couple of black and yellow beads with trailed decoration which are likely Venetian but could be older, and a few ancient stone beads (of the latter two are substantially damaged). . Glass beads on this strand cover the period from the 8th and 19th century AD, a few agate beads are likely older. They show their age, and many have chips, nicks, and other signs of age. Please see the photos for detail. The beads are ancient and somewhat irregular in shape. Every bead is unique.
