Title: Rare Bronze Meditating Lao Luang Chang Altar Buddha, Laos Temple 17/18th C.

Overview: An extremely rare and exquisite Meditating Luang Chang Altar Buddha, acquired from a temple precinct in northern Laos, beautifully rendered in an exalted profile, intricately carved with exacting detail by Lao people, and were carried by Buddhist Monks and Devotees when on a Pilgrimage, often gifted by temple Monk as an offering in exchange for services rendered. Temple blessed and consecrated by Buddhist Monks, Buddha sits on an elevated throne motif, measuring approximately 3.5 inches (9.0cm) in height.
