Description: An exqusite bronze Ayutthaya Female Goddess or Devata, standing poise with a charming attitude, voluptuous figure well defined with harmonious proportion, breast uncovered, hips covered with a long multi-layer Sarong worn low at the waist, secured by a decorative belt of elebrate strands of beaded jewels draped with hanging pendants, with the garment flared at the bottom in a fish-tail hem. She is shown with the right arm raised holding an attributes, the lotus bud in her hand, while simultaneously displaying the 'Vitarka' mudra, the gesture of instruction and intellectural argument. The left hand is gracefully pointed downwards at her side, so as to subdue objects that are the cause of fear. The multiplicity of her hand gestures emphasizes the devata's immense power and ability to perform several acts at the same time.xxxx Her facial expression relays a powerful blend of calm and spiritual enlightenment, with almond-shaped down-cast eyes, a prominent nose, wide mouth with an insipid smile, and elongated earlobes draped in elaborate earring pendants.
