Item:394725809356Amazing Vintage Burmese Lacquer Betel Nut Box 4 pcs Burma Myanmar Zodiac Animals. This lacquer Burmese betel nut box measures approximately 6 1/4" tall, and 6 3/8" wide. The two bowls that fit inside are about 6" by 2 1/8" for the larger, and the smaller is just under 6" wide and 1 1/4" in height. The outside of the box depicts the many animals of the Burmese zodiac, with a large Garuda bird on the base. The interior of the box and bowls are red and glossy, while the exterior has red, yellow, green and black. It is a very cool piece! I'm not certain of the age, but would guess 1900-1950. There is some chipping to the paint or lacquer, mostly to the rim of the base. There is a small bend on the rim of the base, as well. There is a couple smaller surface chips to the interior and exterior of the larger bowl. There are also some light scratches and rubs to the surface of the boxes exterior, but it looks quite good over all. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking! Items are packaged securely and with care for shipment.
Condition:Some surface wear, chipping to outer layer of paint/lacquer on the rim of the base.
