The amulet is of a light green glazed faience, in excellent excavated condition. This amulet is sacred to the goddess Bastet. This goddess was a royal protector and defender, against evil spirits and contagious diseases. Such an amulet would have been worn on a simple faience bead necklace, to confer protection to the wearer.Today this ancient amulet has survived in good excavated condition, intact with a clear details.
