A Greek South Italian blackware guttus; with plain undecorated body; spout and ring handle to side; standing on a low ring foot. Condition: Complete and intact; glaze slightly under-fired resulting in a lighter brown-black glaze; a few light accretions. Maximium width 9.6 cms (3.8 ins). Ancient Greek colonies of South Italy: Early 4th century BC. Provenance: From a German collection, previously acquired in 1997, also from a German collection.
