Item:192897022421A nicely shaped Hellenistic orange buff jug vessel. Paint is mostly worn leaving colorful patina and some pits from age. Really nice condition considering age. On the base of the jug belly you can still see some etched lines that at one point circled the jar as a decor. This was likely made on a spindle wheel as a tossed pot. These wheels began to appear about a thousand years prior to this. One handed jug with small foot at base, sturdy and rounded belly curving to a slightly flared rim. Good size.
